Tell us about Get Dressed Hire, what makes it so popular amongst women?

We all have a cupboard full of dresses that we’ve only worn once, and don’t want to wear to every formal event. Get Dressed is so popular because it gives women the chance to wear a dress they wouldn’t normally spend a fortune on, plus they won’t have a dress sitting in the wardrobe that they’ll never wear again. They no longer have to feel guilty about shopping for dresses and can pick up a designer dress at a fraction of the price! Our clients also love the personal, friendly service, convenient location and flexible opening hours.

What brands do you hire out?

We hire out a wide range of designers, including Galanni, Bronx & Banco, Portia and Scarlett, Nicholas the Label, Manning Cartell, Sherri Hill, Jovani, Talulah and many more!

Ever fallen so in love with a piece of clothing or an accessory that all you want to do is wear it everywhere, take a thousand photos of it and drop its existence in your wardrobe into as many conversations as possible? You’re not alone.

Talk us through the client experience with Get Dressed Hire.

Initially we book our clients in for a complimentary styling session; we welcome the client into our home studio for a one-on-one appointment, where we will try a range of dresses on to determine the best fit, style etc. Once a dress is decided upon, we’ll book it in, and the client is able to pick it up 2 days before their event.

We also post many of our dresses out, around the country.

After the event, all the client needs to do is return the dress to us; we’ll take care of the dry cleaning!

What do you do when the dresses you hire out, go out of fashion?

We rotate stock on a regular basis; we have an Ebay store where we place dresses available for sale, as well as on our website.

What types of events are your dresses best suited to?

We offer dresses to suit formal functions, black-tie events, weddings, christenings, the races… we also stock a large range of stunning fascinators available for hire!

What sizes do you cater for?

At this stage we cater for sizes 6-12, and hope to increase our size range in future.

Where do your clients come from? Are they local, state wide, Australia wide?

We post our dresses Australia wide, so are often sending to Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane. We also have a lot of clients that drive down from Sydney, but the majority of our clients are from the local Illawarra area.
